You're right on target with this post. There were plenty of times when I got the call "he's just not right today". It's lines like those that put your day into perspective. I hope your little guy is doing better.

This totally made me cry. I am visiting from SITS, and I just love the honesty of this post. More mothers should be so open about the reality of ALL of this. I hope that when you got home that day you were able to snuggle your sweet boy.

I want so badly to remodel some things in our home, but I don't think my family or my marriage would survive! Hope the little one is feeling better soon.

Until HJ was 1 years old, our daycare was next to my husband's work. So they always called him. After we switched to in-home daycare, I dreaded the phone calls because I was a good 40 minutes away and if something really bad happened, I'd never forgive myself. Being a working momma is never easy.... yet another example of this. I hope Miles is on the up and up and sleeps good tonight, for both of you!

She got a bit of help from relatives who gave her rewards beyond her bedtime quarters. But, yes, she managed to save up all 32. She really wanted that wig!

She saved up 32 quarters??
I want her to handle my money in about 20 years!
I'm passing this on to my daughters who are new moms.
There's a fine line between reinforcement and bribery and good parenting is knowing when to cross the line.
Sleep is essential. So is peace and quiet. Do what works for you.
